The Lexington Collaborative is a community interest group comprised of individuals from diverse backgrounds with a common desire to improve life in the town's center. The charge of the organization was to analyze historic documents, planning guidelines, precedents for smart growth, historic preservation, vehicular and pedestrian circulation, urban design and the architecture of the center. Colin Smith Architecture, Inc. supported the group's efforts by analyzing the town's urban fabric, expanded upon previous planning guideline recommendations and proposed new opportunities for smart growth within the town that is respectful of its historical context.
